A Singapore Airlines Airbus A330-300 lost power as it passed through a storm. Nearly 182 passengers and 12 crew were on board when the incident occurred. Before the pilots got the engine restarted, the flight descended to 13,000 feet.
The flight, enroute to Shangai from Singapore, on Saturday encountered bad weather at 39,000 feet about three and a half hours after departure.
According to the statement, both the engines experienced a temporary loss of power and the pilots followed opeartional procedures to restore normal operation. The flight continued to Shangai and touched down uneventfully at 10:56pm local time.
