‘ QR code ‘ is the modern day promotional resource for most of the companies. Recently the idea was used by a food company named ‘Heinz’ to promote their tomato ketchup.
The QR code can be scanned by customers using a smartphone in order to access content of the respective product online. In this case the code was supposed to direct browsers to a site where customers could design their own label for a bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup Hot. This was a part of the promotion strategy by the company. But fate had another strategy in mind.
